The Igbo term for interjection is ntimkpu. It is used to express emotion. Examples of interjection in Igbo language are:

Hello - Ndeewo!
Hello/Hi all - Kwenu!
Thank you - Daalu!
Ouch - Ewoo!
Amen - Isee!
Shh - Shiii!
